I’m a dragon in small pool,
Shallow water, shrimps jeer.
Tight wriggle room,
To remain hidden, I must crouch.

Bend knees, lower head, silent breaths,
One eye half open, one eye shut.
Remain in water, no ripples,
No one knows that I am here.

Why I remain hidden, one might ask,
Time is not right, not my tide.
Strong gust, thick mist, longest night,
Sights unclear even in flight.

There were times I was at peak heights,
No more space for me to climb.
Only direction for me is to fall,
Not the best feeling after all.

When I’m lowest, no way down,
Best not do anything in tight grounds,
Next moment, time right, water rises,
You will see my vertical climb.
